Calls for Interviews!

Are you a lesbian, queer woman, or non-binary person with a story to share?

Artistic Director Abi Mortimer has received some funding from Arts Council England ‘develop your creative practice’ grant to explore a new LGBTQI+ dance theatre work that highlights the diverse experiences of the LGBTQI+ community through paid interviews.

Whether it’s your coming-out journey, overcoming challenges, or how you navigate the world, we want to hear from you! 💖

All research will be used to celebrate your voices and stories through performance. This is a safe, inclusive space where your story matters.

In case you don’t know us, Lîla Dance is a queer-led dance theatre company. We create visually dynamic and striking dance productions. We believe in equality, acceptance, kindness and a fair world. We create spaces for everyone to have a voice equally through collaboration and laughter (and maybe a bit of gin), without ego or hierarchy getting in the way.

10 participants will be selected for interview from applications. Interviews will be either online/ in person (if local),  and will last 1 hour max. We will provide £60 compensation for your time.
